Ingredients

  • 500 grams baby potatoes
  • 1/2 teaspoon aromat
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt as required
  • Chopped chives or greens for garnish

Method

  • Thoroughly wash and pat dry the baby potatoes.
  • Preheat the air-fryer at 190°C (374°F).
  • Prick the baby potatoes using a fork.
  • Add in all the above ingredients except the greens, in a mixing bowl and toss the potatoes till they are coated well.
  • Line your air fryer basket with a baking sheet.
  • Pop the potatoes into the basket, in an even layer. Do not over crowd the basket.
  • Air Fry for 20 minutes at 190°C ( 374°F) giving it a good shake after 12 to 15 minutes.
  • When done, garnish with some greens and serve hot with any sauce or dip of your choice!!

No, since this recipe calls for baby potatoes, you do not have to parboil potatoes before air frying. If you chose to cut baby potatoes in two halves, it is okay to soak them in cold water for a few minutes to get rid of the starch and make it more crispier.

It is advisable to pierce potatoes before air frying or baking as not only does it help release the hot steam, but it also soaks the flavors from the marinate.
